Di fronte alla Centopietre si erge la Chiesa risalente al X secolo.
L'edificio ricorda la cruenta battaglia tra Cristiani e Mori del 24 giugno 877. La chiesa, a pianta rettangolare a tre navate divise da pilastri, è uno degli esempi più caratteristici dell'arte romanica pugliese. Degli affreschi all'interno rimangono solo poche tracce. L'abside contiene un ampio rosone; la facciata principale è essenziale con una bifora situata al di sopra del portale d'ingresso.
Church of San Giovanni Battista
In front of the Centopietre there is the Church of San Giovanni Battista (the Baptist) dating to the 10th century. It was built to remember the battle that took place on June 24th 877 between Christians and Saracens. The church has a nave and two aisles and is a typical example of Romanic Art in our region. There are only a few signs left of the original frescos. In the apse there a rose window. There is a simple two lights window above the entrance door then the façade is very simple.
